Part of Wicker Park church collapses, several cars damaged

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A partial building collapse at a church in Wicker Park Monday morning has damaged several cars.
The collapse occurred at the two-and-half story Mission Cristiana Church in the 1900-block of West Schiller Street. The Chicago Fire Department said the church was vacant and may have been ready to be demolished.
No injuries have been reported. At least five cars parked near the church were damaged by the debris.
The Chicago Fire Department and Building Department are investigating. Schiller Street is closed in both directions.
