YPSILANTI TOWNSHIP, MI – A man is dead after an incident at an Ypsilanti Township business.
Police were called about 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 to Ypsilanti Import Auto Sales, 1180 E. Michigan Ave., said Derrick Jackson of the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office.
Police believe a 48-year-old Ypsilanti man was attempting to load a large toolbox onto his flatbed truck when the toolbox fell on him, Jackson said. He subsequently died from his injuries.
"The incident is still under investigation, but at this time it appears to be a tragic accident," he said. Further information on the incident was not immediately available.
