A police officer was seriously hurt in a crash along Route 13 in Minquadale, New Castle County.

MINQUADALE, Del. (WPVI) -- A police officer was seriously hurt in a crash along Route 13 in Minquadale, New Castle County.
The accident happened Friday afternoon on the northbound side of Route 13 near the Route 295 overpass.

Police say a dump truck ran the unmarked police cruiser off the road and into a guard rail.
The officer was heading back to New Castle County Police Headquarters with a prisoner.

The prisoner was also seriously hurt in the crash, but both victims' injuries appear to be nonlife-threatening.
Route 13 northbound is closed in the area of the 295 ramp as police investigate.
No arrests have been made.
