Driver killed after crashing into concrete barrier

OMAHA, Neb. —Police are investigating a fatal crash that killed a 24-year-old Omaha man.
It happened around 11:15 Monday night.
Investigators say Patrick McCreery was driving a blue Chevrolet Cavalier eastbound along the 24th Street exit ramp from Interstate 80 when he crossed the northbound and southbound lanes of traffic, and slammed into the east side concrete overpass barrier.
Paramedics attempted to revive McCreery, but pronounced him dead on scene.
Police are investigating speed as a factor to this crash, which remains under investigation.
McCreery was the only person inside the vehicle and nobody else was injured, police say.
