A four-alarm fire is threatening homes in the Grandview Drive area of Vacaville, California

VACAVILLE, Calif. -- A four-alarm fire is threatening homes in the Grandview Drive area of Vacaville Friday afternoon, according to the Vacaville Police Department.


The fire in the hills west of Grandview Drive in west Vacaville was reported around 12:30 p.m., a police dispatcher said. Police have warned people living in the area to leave. The fire spread to 30 acres, but officials now say the forward progress of the fire has stopped.

Mandatory evacuations were ordered for Acorn Court, Fair Oaks Drive, Grandview Drive and parts of Hillview Drive. The Three Oaks Community Center in Vacaville is open for evacuees of a four-alarm brush fire burning in southwest Vacaville.
