Woman found dead after Germantown house fire

GERMANTOWN, PA (WPVI) -- A woman was found dead after a house fire in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.
The fire started just before 9 p.m. Saturday at 222 East Price Street.
Upon arrival, officials reported smoke and heavy fire showing from the rear of the three-story house.
The fire was brought under control in about 40 minutes, officials say.
Officials say the woman was found dead in the basement.
A second victim was taken to Einstein Medical Center. No word on their condition.
The building is believed to be a vacant property.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
