Man suffers internal injuries in New Hampshire boat accident

AUBURN, N.H. —A man from Derry, New Hampshire, suffered "serious internal injuries" during a boating accident on Lake Massabesic Saturday morning.
Emergency crews responded to a 911 call just before 6 a.m. that described a collision between a power boat and a kayak.
Craig Daniels, 57, was fishing and adjusting his lines when a 16-foot power boat broadsided his kayak.
Authorities say Daniels was helped into the boat by nearby good Samaritans and Timothy Clougherty, the operator of the power boat.
Daniels was brought to a nearby boat ramp where emergency crews treated him and transported him to a hospital.
New Hampshire State Police say drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash, and that an investigation into how the incident occurred is ongoing.
State police are urging anyone with information about the incident to call the department's marine patrol at 603-293-2037
