Lightning strike sparks house fire on far West Side

Authorities say a lightning strike cause a major blaze at a home in West Bexar County on Thursday morning.
Firefighters from the Bexar County, Leon Valley, Balcones Heights and Shavano Park fire departments responded to the blaze around 3 a.m. in the 8500 block of Cedar Hill Way.
Authorities said lighting blew bricks of a portion of the structure when it struck, and fire quickly spread across the roof.
Firefighters said the ceiling of the home collapsed, causing about $300,000 in damage.
Investigators say the home is a total loss
