New York Police cars collide during Brownsville call
Five NYPD officers responding to a foot pursuit were injured when their police cruisers collided in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn.

The officers were going to assist at a city-run apartment complex just before 2 a.m. Wednesday.

The New York City Police Department police cruisers collided at Thomas Boyland Street and Livonia Avenue.

The force of the collision flipped one of the police cruisers.

Five officers were injured; none is expected to sustain life threatening injuries.

Three of the officers were taken to Kings County Hospital. Two were taken to Jamaica Medical Center.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

It was not known if the original suspect being chased on foot was caught.
