Three dead after wreck near Marshall Saturday afternoon

MARSHALL, TX (KLTV) -
Three people died in a wreck on Hwy 43 in Marshall Saturday afternoon.
According to DPS, around 4:00 p.m., a car was traveling northbound at unsafe speeds for the road conditions on Highway 43, approximately 10 miles south of Marshall, when it veered into the southbound lane, striking a ford truck towing a trailer.
The driver of the car, 21-year-old Victoria Sherman, of Marshall, and her passenger, 19-year-old Angel Rollans were killed.
A passenger in the truck, 44-year-old Michelle Johnson, of Union Grove, AL, also died. The driver of the truck, 59-year-old Carl Scoogens, of Sweetwater, TX and his other passenger, 59-year-old Richard Johnson, of Union Grove, were both taken to ETMC. Their conditions are unknown.
