Woman dies after Arvada head-on crash

ARVADA, COLORADO - A 58-year-old Westminster woman died after a multiple car, head-on crash in Arvada Tuesday afternoon.
The crash happened at around 3 p.m. in the 7800 block of Wadsworth Boulevard.
Arvada Police say a Toyota Corolla that was traveling northbound on Wadsworth collided with a Ford Focus driven by Kathryn Mastropaolo. Her vehicle was pushed into the southbound lanes, where it collided with a Dodge Challenger.
Mastropaolo had to be extricated from her vehicle. She was taken to the Denver Health Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.
A passenger in the Corolla was seriously injured in the wreck, Arvada Police say.
What caused the crash remains under investigation.
