OLD BRIDGE, New Jersey (WABC) -- Route 9 is closed in both directions in Old Bridge Tuesday afternoon following a crash with multiple fatalities.
The accident happened at Route 9 and Route 516 around 1 p.m.
The extent of the injuries is not known at this time. Officials would only say there are "multiple" fatalities -- no number has been released.

The victims were rushed to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
