Gas Plant Catches Fire, Nearby Homes Evacuated

Wise County authorities said they evacuated several homes near a gas plant that caught fire early Thursday morning.
The county's fire marshal said three compressors and one structure caught fire at the Targa Gas Plant in the 300 block of County Road 1745 in Chico just after 2 a.m.
Authorities said they evacuated 10 to 15 homes within 1 mile of the plant.
As of 5 a.m., firefighters had not yet extinguished the fire.
