Deputies: Truck went over center line

SAUK COUNTY, WI
Deputies were called to Highway 60 east of County Road C in the town of Troy at 5:28 p.m. on a report of a truck and farm tractor crash.
Investigators said a Chevrolet Silverado truck driven east on Highway 60 by James Stuettgen, 46, drifted over the center line and hit an International tractor traveling westbound. The tractor was driven by Dale Smith, 19, of Spring Green, and was pulling a chopper box.
Stuettgen was pronounced dead at the scene. Smith was taken to Sauk Prairie Healthcare Center for treatment of his injuries. Deputies said Stuettgen was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The Plain Fire Department, Plain Ambulance, Spring Green Ambulance, Sauk City Fire Department, Sauk County Highway Department, and the Sauk County Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene.
