WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) --
A Philadelphia firefighter is hospitalized and a mother and her six children out their homes after a fast-moving house fire.The blaze was reported at 11:45 p.m. Saturday at a home in the 1200 block of North 55th Street.
Action News is told flames ripped through the basement and first floor.
A firefighter was hurt when he felt through some collapsing stairs.
He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital and is expected to be okay.
The fire burned for a half hour before crews got the upper hand.
The cause is under investigation.
