PERTH AMBOY, N.J. (WABC) --
Four people in New Jersey had to be rescued from the end of a pier that collapsed.Newscopter 7 was over the scene in Perth Amboy Thursday afternoon, as rescuers put two men, a woman and a child into a boat.
Portions of the pier they had just walked over fell into the water behind them, leaving them stranded on a concrete island.
Authorities say they had trespassed onto the very old pier which was closed.
