Engine failure caused allision

The cause of the allison of the "Stigfoss" with the dock in Biltrend on Aug 21 was caused by the engine not stopping in time so that the ship slammed into the dock according to the terminal manager at Troms Fryseterminal, Kurt Einar Tårnes.
The ship had suffered a main engine failure. Both quay and ship were damaged in the incident.
