JERSEY CITY (WABC) --
Hundreds of people are without water service after a massive water main break in Jersey City.United Water emergency crews responded to a broken 6-inch water main on Warren Street from Dudley Street until the end of Warren Street on Monday afternoon. United Water said they are currently making good progress to dig down to the main to make the repair.
Residents who are affected have been given bottled water.
It is not known when water service will return.
United Water released a statement saying,
"We appreciate our customers' patience and understanding while we work to complete the repairs as quickly and safely as possible."
