Two people died and three others were injured in a car crash in South Haven Township Saturday morning.
The crash happened at around 5 a.m. on I-196 south of the M-140 exit.
According to a news release, five people were in the car when it left the roadway and hit a guardrail.
One person died on scene and another person later died at the hospital.
Two passengers were airlifted to a Kalamazoo hospital. A third passenger was taken to a hospital in South Haven via ambulance for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
