The man, whose identity wasn’t immediately revealed, was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment, an FDNY official said.

The worker fell from the second floor of 435 W. 31st St. around 2:30 p.m., according to a Department of Buildings source. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in serious condition, authorities said.

“This one was definitely a freak accident because he fell through the crevice, the crack in between,” one worker said.

A spokeswoman for the Hunter Roberts Construction Group, which is building the 62-story, 844-unit structure, said they were cooperating with investigators.
