TYLER, MN
Three people suffered injuries when the single-engine
plane they were in crashed Tuesday morning. It happened shortly before 9
a.m. in a corn field north of the Tyler Airport runway.
The pilot, 39-year-old Daniel Ellefson of Tyler, along with two passengers, 65-year-old Clara Wheelis and 77-year-old Daniel Sasser, both of Panama City, FL, were transported to the Tyler Healthcare Center for their injuries. Two of the patients were later air lifted to a Sioux Falls hospital.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are currently assisting in the investigation.

The aircraft impacted cornfield terrain north of the departure end of runway 32 at Tyler Municipal Airport (63Y), Tyler, Minnesota. The airplane sustained substantial damage and the three occupants onboard received undetermined injuries. Sources:
