A 2011 BMW Motorcycle

PLEASANT VALLEY (WABC) -- Two people are dead after the motorcycle they were riding crashed into a tree in Pleasant Valley.
The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office says a 2011 BMW motorcycle driven by 25-year-old Frederick Eberhard III of Poughkeepsie left a roadway in the town of Pleasant Valley around 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Police believe he lost control because he was driving too fast.
Eberhard died at the scene. His passenger, 25-year-old Alysha Simpfenderfer of Poughkeepsie, was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Police say both were wearing helmets.
