Ohio Troopers seek pickup truck driver involved in motorcycle crash on State Route 44

Beacon Journal staff report

The Ohio Highway Patrol is asking for help locating a driver involved in a motorcycle crash on July 2.

The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. on state Route 44 south of U.S. 62 in Nimishillen Township in Stark County.

Authorities say a 2015 Honda Shadow motorcycle was traveling south on Route 44 when a pickup truck pulled in front of it at a Marathon Gas Station, causing a crash.

The truck’s driver drove off. The motorcyclist’s injuries were not life threatening.

The pickup truck is described as a newer model gray Chevrolet Silverado crew cab and it drove north on Route 44.

Surveillance footage from the gas station showed an older white male with gray hair and glasses as the driver of the Silverado.
