Law enforcement authorities in western South Dakota say an Illinois man was seriously injured after falling 150 feet near Sheep Mountain Table at the Badlands National Park.
The
Pennington County sheriff’s office said the 26-year-old man was taken
from the park to a Rapid City hospital Saturday afternoon in a
helicopter from the South Dakota National Guard.
Authorities said the
incident happened around 2 p.m. Saturday. The sheriff’s office did not
immediately identify the man. His condition is unknown.
