A man survived a 300 foot fall off a cliff in San Francisco at Lands End overnight.

Two men were hiking at Dead Man's Cliff when one of them fell around 1 a.m. Rescuers were concerned because he was initially not responding after they yelled his name repeatedly. The man was rescued by boat and officials said he is pretty banged up, but expected to be okay.

"There are no lights; this is not a good place to hike. A lot of narrow paths and roads and it's easy if you are not familiar with these trails to fall off the cliff. Stay away do not come out here at night," said SFFD Batt. Chief Khai Ali.

The man's identity has not been released.
