Kentucky Fire marshal releases findings of Silver Trail Distillery deadly explosion in Marshall County that killed one worker

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -
Fire investigators say an over-pressurized still likely led to an explosion and fire that killed a worker at a western Kentucky distillery in April.
The report by the state fire marshal's office says the still at Silver Trail Distillery in Marshall County was neither designed to hold pressure nor equipped with a correct pressure relief valve. The report says that likely led to a rupture and subsequent fire that seriously injured a second worker.
The findings were released Friday following a three-month investigation.
Investigators say the rupture is believed to have caused the still's contents to reach high temperatures that resulted in burn injuries to the two distillery workers. Kyle Rogers died from his injuries.
The distillery produced "LBL Moonshine," named for the nearby Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.
