CHICAGO, ILL.
A 19-year-old man died and an 18-year-old man was hurt after a car crash early Saturday on Lower Wacker Drive in the Loop, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 3:22 a.m. near North Garvey Court and West Lower Wacker Drive, according to police and fire officials.
A BMW was traveling west on Lower Wacker when it collided with a Jeep and struck a concrete barrier, police said.
The 19-year-old man, who was driving the BMW, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
The 18-year-old, who was behind the wheel of the Jeep, was listed in good condition at Northwestern Memorial, police said.
The Police Department’s Major Accident Unit is still investigating the crash.
