A 26-year-old man was injured Tuesday morning when part the tree he was working on fell on to him.
According to a release from police officials, the accident happened at 9:07 a.m. on New Estate Road. The victim had been working on an 80 foot pine tree when a section of the top fell off and hit him in the head.
The Ayer man was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries then flown to UMass Medical Center in Worcester.
