A 58-year-old Kentucky man was killed after crashing a semi on Briley Parkway late Sunday night.
The single-vehicle accident occurred around 11:45 p.m. near County Hospital Road.
Police said the truck was hauling two trailers when it struck a guardrail and overturned, landing on its roof and spilling its contents.
Driver Eddy Glenn, of Kentucky, died at the scene. Authorities said he was not wearing a seat belt.
Glenn, who was working for Yellow Freight in Nashville, was en route to St. Louis when the accident occurred.
There was no indication of alcohol or drugs at the scene.
Briley Parkway was closed to motorists for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
