SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department said one man is
dead and another received major injuries after being electrocuted in Santa Maria.
The incident happened around 11:30 Saturday morning in the
3500 block of Dominion Road.
Fire officials said the two men were working on an
underground pump, that led to an underground well, when they came in contact
with a live wire and were electrocuted.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene. The other received
major injuries to his hands and feet and was taken by ambulance to the
hospital.
Two helicopters were called to the scene, but were later
called off.
PG&E also responded to help with the live wire.
