CALHOUN, TENNESSEE
An accident at Resolute Forest Products' Calhoun plant early
Friday evening resulted in the death of a contract worker.
Preliminary details indicate that the victim - an employee
of Jake Marshall, LLC, a Chattanooga-based construction firm - suffered severe
injuries in a fall around 6:15 p.m. Friday.
The male victim succumbed to the
injuries and was pronounced dead later that evening.
Resolute Corporate Spokesman Seth Kursman confirmed the
accident and death via email.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family,"
said Kursman.
The victim's identity has not been released.
An
investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident. No further
details are available at this time.
