A 43-year-old female mail carrier died Saturday afternoon in
Denver when a large tree fell on her United State Postal Service vehicle and
pinned her inside.
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office identified her as Lisa
Rudisill Wilkerson of Sherrill’s Ford.
The incident occurred at about 4:45 p.m. as the mail carrier delivered mail on Norman Court off Lakeshore Road North. A thunderstorm was moving through the area at the time of the incident.
The mail carrier died at the scene.
