Traffic was back up Friday morning after a fatal crash on
Interstate 71 north in Middleburg Heights.
Troopers were called to I-71 near Bagley Road just after 7
a.m. Friday for a report of a dead body in a truck.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the tractor trailer
drifted off the right side of the road and sideswiped the guardrail. The truck
traveled along the guardrail for more than 500 feet before stopping.
The 56-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation, but patrol said it’s
being treated as a natural death case.
