An unattended candle caused fire that has displaced people
living in a Newport News house, fire officials said.
Crews were called to the 1000 block of 28th Street near Orcutt
Avenue around 1:20 a.m.
There was concern that fire would spread to a house next
door, but it only has heat damage.
Everyone in both homes got out safely.
