Firefighters
found a man dead inside a mobile home when they responded to a fire Wednesday
night.
Lt. Jonathan Anderson with the Lake Cunningham Fire Department said the home on Becky Gibson Road was fully engulfed with flames when about 25 firefighters arrived on scene.

It took
firefighters 15 minutes to extinguish the fire.
Greenville
County Coroner Jeff Fowler said one man was found dead inside the residence
when firefighters entered.
The coroner
identified the victim as 52-year-old Johnny James McCarter Jr.
An autopsy
is scheduled for later Wednesday.
Many deaths
occur during mobile home fires. Close quarters,
lack of smoke alarms, proximity of combustibles to ignition sources are
contributing factors
