Authorities say a couple died after their car went off the
side of a Miami County road, overturned and caught fire.
The Kansas City Star reports that the crash happened around
2:30 p.m. Sunday on Plum Creek Road, just north of 335th Street. Their car was southbound on Plum Creek Road
when it left the road, overturned and caught fire, according to the sheriff’s
office.
The Miami County Sheriff’s Office identified the victims as
78-year-old Willis D. Hodgson and 77-year-old Beth E. Hodgson. The couple lived
in the town of Parker.
The accident remains under investigation.
