CEMENT TRUCK ALMOST FELL INTO A CREEK AT A CONSTRUCTION SITE IN BOULDER, COLORADO DUE TO THE SOFT GROUND AND ITS HEAVY WEIGHT

BOULDER,
Colorado (AP) - A backhoe is keeping a concrete pump truck from going over a
cliff and falling into a creek. Sky9 flew over the scene near Folsom Field
Thursday afternoon.
Police
say the ground where the truck was parked gave way causing the truck to tip
over just after 4 p.m. No one was in the truck when the accident happened.
There were no injuries.
The
boom of the truck became tangled in trees and bushes when it overturned. Crews
used a torch to cut the boom off the truck before they could upright it.
Boulder
Fire is on the scene to assist crews in getting the truck upright and monitor
any possible hazardous spills.

BOULDER,
Colo. (AP) - The Daily Camera says that when a concrete pumper truck overturned
during work on the University Colorado's stadium expansion, the fire
department only heard about it on the news.
Boulder
police and fire spokeswoman Kim Kobel told the
Camera firefighters, curious when they saw a news helicopter over
the stadium, called a fire station where staff had seen a TV news report about
the truck and the decision was made to send a crew to investigate.
CU
spokesman Bronson Hilliard said the university would look into why no one at
the construction site called the police or fire department.
No
one was inside the truck when it slipped over on wet ground about 1:30 p.m. It
was righted some six hours later.
