WASHINGTON COUNTY, VIRGINIA
Virginia State Police are investigating a deadly crash
involving a state-owned snowplow truck.
The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. Thursday night along
the 2800 block of Lee Highway in the Town of Meadowview in Washington County.
VDOT confirms one of its snow plow trucks was involved in
the deadly pedestrian accident. State
police shut down the highway for around eight hours Thursday night as they
tried to figure out the cause of the accident.
"This is the reconstruction team...we're going back and
doing all the measurements of the accident scene itself," said Daniel
Price, Virginia State Police.
As of Friday morning, the name of the victim has not been
released. Virginia State Police say their investigation is ongoing.
