As we have noted in numerous postings, it takes very little for a tractor traler to rollover: too fast turn, too sudden stop, unbalanced load, etc.  In winter time, we see even greater number of rollovers because the winter road conditions are also contributing to the rollover risks.  Be careful out there.  You want to go home or to your destination in one piece.

TYLER (KYTX) - The driver of a semi-truck is dead after he lost control of his vehicle while towing another tractor-trailer.

Department of Public Safety reports 50-year-old Jeffrey Paul Ewald of Tyler was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Pct. 1 Quincy Beavers.
Ewald was traveling west on FM 2908, and failed to stop at the intersection of Hwy. 271 running off the left side of the road.

The fatal wreck occurred Monday, January 5, 2015 at 10:30 p.m., about two miles north of Tyler in Smith County.

Ewald was not wearing a seat belt according to DPS Troopers.

The accident is under investigation.
