The brakes on this semi tractor overheated early
Wednesday morning, causing the tires to catch fire.
ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) Eastbound traffic on U.S. 24
near Bruick Road was down to one lane Wednesday morning after the tires on a
semi tractor caught fire after the brakes overheated.
According to the New Haven Fire Department, the truck
was on its way to Ohio and was carrying 44,000 pounds of dry chlorine. There
were no injuries reported.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The ice and snow Sunday
night into Monday morning created headaches as people tried to get back to
work and school.
A heavy burst of snow shortly before the morning commute laid
down an additional inch or two of snow in a short period of time, causing
problems for many. The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to 49
reported accidents from midnight to 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
Only two of these
had possible injuries.
Many schools initially on a two-hour delay decided to close for the day. Many
