HOSPITAL AFTER 18-WHEELER WRECK ON HWY. 59 IN ANGELINA COUNTY, TEXAS

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -
A wreck involving an 18-wheeler has stalled northbound
traffic on US 59 north of Lufkin.
The wreck, which occurred around 5 p.m., involves an
18-wheeler and a pickup.
It happened between FM 843 and FM 2021. Traffic is being
diverted on FM 2021 and to FM 843.
Deputies on scene said witnesses saw 60 year-old Michael
Tarver lose control in the southbound lanes and run into the side of an
18-wheeler. One witness told troopers that after Tarver hit the truck he lost
control and ran over the median going airborne before landing and hitting an
18-wheeler in the northbound lanes.
Troopers did not have a condition on Tarver.
