CRASH SNARLS NORTHBOUND PALMETTO EXPRESSWAY IN MIAMI, FLORIDA

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A multi-vehicle accident on State
Road 826 snarled traffic for miles Monday morning.
A chain reaction crash involving more than a fifteen
cars and trucks, including an 18-wheeler and an armored truck, began with a hit
and run crash just north of NW 122nd Street.
Traffic quickly backed up as all northbound lanes of the
highway were closed to traffic for vehicle removal and clean up.
The back up at one point extended south to NW 58th
Street in Doral.
The cleanup process took several hours and drivers were
forced to get off the highway and find alternate routes to their destination.
