MAN EJECTED FROM CAR AND SEVERELY INJURED DURING CRASH BETWEEN A CAR AND A SEMI-TRUCK NEAR MURTAUGH, IDAHO. HE FAILED TO YIELD TO A STOP SIGN AND HE WAS WEARING NO SEAT BELT.



Man Ejected From Car and severely injured During Crash between a Car and a Semi-truck NEAR MURTAUGH, IDAHO.  He Failed to Yield to a Stop Sign and he was wearing no seat belt.

Murtaugh, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) A man is badly hurt after an accident near Murtaugh Friday evening.




It happened at around 6:15 p.m. at U.S. Highway 30 and 4500 East.




State troopers tell us 25–year-old Luis Castaneda of Hazelton was driving south on 4500 East in a Honda Civic, when he reportedly failed to yield at the stop sign, hitting a semi truck driven by 44–year-old Jason Thomas of Burley.




Castaneda wasn’t wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the car and taken by air ambulance to Portneuf Regional Medical Center in Pocatello.




Thomas was wearing a seat belt and was not taken to the hospital.



The highway was blocked for over three hours.




ISP is investigating.
