Garbage truck collided head on with suv in
multi-vehicle crash in West Bloomfield, Michigan
WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. - January 2, 2015
Police have shut down the intersection of Maple and
Franklin roads in West Bloomfield due to a crash Friday afternoon involving a
garbage truck.
Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash, including
a Rizzo garbage truck.
The conditions of those involved in the crash are not
known at this time, though a traffic sergeant said everyone is expected to be
okay. Police aren't yet sure who was at fault.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with those injured
this afternoon." Rizzo Environmental Services said in a statement.
"Rizzo Environmental Services is fully cooperating with the law
enforcement investigation of this accident. The safety of the public and our
employees is our main priority. We work continually to promote traffic and
workplace safety."
Drivers are advised to avoid to the area while police investigate.
