5-year-old killed in St. Louis hit-and-run pickup truck accident

ST. LOUIS — St. Louis police are searching for the driver of a pickup truck that fatally struck a 5-year-old boy, then drove away.
Authorities say Elijah Taylor was struck about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday in the city's Greater Ville neighborhood. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are looking for the red Ford F-150 truck and the driver of that vehicle. Authorities say the truck was speeding when it hit the boy, kept going and drove down an alley.
Elijah was with his mother's boyfriend when he was struck. The child apparently walked into the street to go to the boyfriend's car when he was hit.
