VAN VOORHIS, Pa. (AP) – Authorities say a car struck a tractor-trailer on a western Pennsylvania interstate and caught fire, killing all three occupants.

Officials in Washington County said the crash happened on Interstate 70 in Fallowfield Township shortly after 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Coroner Tim Warco said the car was heading west at high speed and hit the rear of the westbound truck, then struck the median barrier and caught fire.

Warco said all three people were pronounced dead at the scene. The names of the victims weren’t immediately released.
