CASA GRANDE, AZ - Two people were killed after a vehicle
crashed into a semi-truck Wednesday in Casa Grande.
Thomas Anderson, spokesman for Casa Grande police, said
four people were inside the passenger vehicle at the time of the crash. The
driver, an adult female, has died. Another passenger, believed to be a
teenager, has also died.
Two other people were transported to the hospital in
serious condition. The driver of the semi was not injured, said Anderson.
Police said preliminary information indicates the
passenger vehicle was traveling eastbound on Peters when it collided with the
rear of a Walmart semi-truck traveling southbound on Thornton. The crash
happened shortly after 8 a.m.
Authorities said there was heavy fog in the area and the
driver may have failed to yield at a stop sign.
The crash is still under investigation.
