ATLANTIC CITY – City emergency crews are responding to
what officials said is a gas leak near Brighton and Fairmount avenues.
Authorities have shut down one lane of traffic on
Fairmount. South Jersey Gas workers on the scene said their work should be
completed by midnight, and that the closed lane will be reopened then.
They said the leak was caused by an old pipe.
