Shuts Down Lanes of I-95 in Both Directions

An armored truck overturned and crashed Tuesday
afternoon on Interstate 95 north, sending debris into the southbound lanes and
reducing traffic to a crawl.
Just before 4 p.m. on December 30, an armored truck
crashed on Interstate 95 near Beledere Street, just south of the Interstate 64
interchange (mile marker 75). Debris from the crash spilled into the southbound
lanes, too; as of 4:50 p.m., 2 northbound and 2 southbound lanes remained
closed with backups for several miles.
There were 2 injuries in the wreck, one to the driver of
the truck, another from the debris. Both victims were transported to the
hospital.
