The state Department of Environmental Protection says the man was working on a generator that runs a water pump to a well pad when he was electrocuted.

A man has died after being electrocuted at a job site in the Kincheloe area of Harrison County.

Harrison County 911 confirmed to 5 News that a man passed away after being electrocuted while working on a well pad located on Gooseman Lane.

The West Milford and Jane Lew fire departments responded to the scene, along with Harrison County EMS.

According to someone who lives in the area, the site is owned by an energy company.

Officials say the man was working on a generator when he was killed.

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident.
